ABOUT
There was no piano at home. January M Itzki began composing around the age of two on a broken electronic organ, without using the pedals.
Music was not encouraged at home. In junior high school, he was allowed to stay after class and play the school piano as much as he wished.
He never considered himself a virtuoso pianist. In his twenties, he began multitrack recording and went on to create many works in this way.
As Jean-Pierre, he records each piano part himself, one track at a time. By layering many separately performed tracks, he builds a fuller and richer performance.
Every part is played and recorded by January M Itzki himself.
